The University of Kansas Health System, Department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (PM&R) is seeking a board certified/board eligible physiatrist for full time faculty position with training and interest in General and Neurologic Rehabilitation. This individual will be hired at the level of Assistant, Associate, or Professor (tenure or non-tenure track) based on experience.

The outlined job duties for faculty members encompass a multifaceted engagement with our integrated residency program in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation. This commitment involves conducting PM&R specialty clinics at designated locations, overseeing the management of the inpatient rehabilitation unit service, and providing consultations for inpatients, all while actively engaging in teaching and scholarly pursuits. Collaboration with rehabilitation services and other relevant departments is essential to ensure comprehensive care and a holistic approach.

Additionally, faculty members are tasked with delivering lectures to PM&R residents and students, as well as participating in scheduled Grand Rounds sessions, contributing to the academic and professional development of the medical community.

Required Qualifications:

  • MD or DO

  • Board certified/ board eligible in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Fellowship training in Spine/Pain Management 

  • Special skills in Spine/Pain Management
