Physician - Breast Radiologist


The University of Kansas Health System is seeking a dedicated Breast Radiologist to join our growing academic faculty within the Department of Radiology. This is an exceptional opportunity to practice comprehensive breast imaging in a high-volume, tertiary care setting while contributing to education, research, and multidisciplinary collaboration at a nationally recognized academic medical center.

Key Position Highlights

  • Dedicated Breast Imaging practice within a comprehensive academic medical center
  • Full spectrum of breast imaging, including screening and diagnostic mammography, digital breast tomosynthesis, breast ultrasound, contrast-enhanced mammography and breast MRI
  • Advanced image-guided procedures, including stereotactic, ultrasound-guided, CEM-guided and MRI-guided biopsies, as well as preoperative localization
  • Multidisciplinary collaboration with breast surgery, medical oncology, radiation oncology, and pathology through integrated tumor boards and multidisciplinary conferences
  • High-quality technologist and nursing support, with efficient workflows and robust IT/PACS infrastructure
  • Faculty appointment commensurate with qualifications and academic interests, offering involvement in resident and fellow education as well as opportunities to pursue research or advance clinical programs

Required Qualifications

  • MD or DO (or equivalent)
  • ABR board certified/eligible in Diagnostic Radiology
  • Completion of a 12-month Breast Imaging fellowship
  • Eligible for licensure in Kansas and Missouri
  • Experience in breast imaging, in addition to clinical practice, preferred
