Responsibilities and Essential Job Functions

- Must be able to perform the professional and technical competencies of the department.
- With the Division Director and VP of Cancer Services, oversee matters pertaining to basic business policies of the division and program; formulate and recommend new or revised business operational policies and procedures and monitor those implemented.
- Analyze systems and procedures and recommend changes to improve and efficiency.
- Maintain and compile statistics when necessary or upon request of the business.
- Under the guidance of the Division Director and VP of Cancer Services, develop Departmental quality and performance metrics and measurements to monitor the quality of progress towards fulfilling Department missions and goals.
- Is accountable for business quality assurance, methods and systems.
- Partners with Cancer Center operational leaders in strategic planning for growth and programmatic initiatives for physician recruitment and APP lease support.
- Responsible for establishment and maintenance of annual budgets, planning and analytics necessary for all departments/divisions as dictated by the Health System and School of Medicine to fulfill their goals and objectives, including planning workload and need for personnel.
- Oversee the development, business practices/systems and analytics related to all department financial records and reporting.
- Monitors department performance to ensure that budgetary objectives are attained.
- Oversees or delegates maintenance of provider data bases including Kyrus, and partners with Provider Enrollment to ensure providers are accurately set up with the appropriate Tax ID, Bill Area, and practice locations for billing compliance and credentialing maintenance.
- Partners with access teams and revenue cycle management depts of the Health System to ensure providers are credentialed accurately and in a timely manner for accurately capturing wRVUs.
- Oversees or delegates maintenance of physician profiles and partners with marketing in updating databases including Kyrus, and other public sites utilized and supported by the Health System.
- Undertake special projects and assignments, as directed.
- Assist Division Director in the planning, and execution of academic educational, research conferences and program initiatives.
- Assists the Division Director in recruiting, hiring and onboarding Departmental faculty in support of Institutional and Departmental missions.
- Assists with intradepartmental and leadership communications.
- Communicates pertinent information, statistics, and issues and plans so that there is an excellent understanding of the department’s activities, issues and opportunities.
- Represents the department on various institutional standing and ad hoc committees and task forces
- Maintains knowledge of current trends and developments in the field thru active pursuit of continuing education pertinent to assigned programs.
- Maintain strictest of confidentiality and highest level of professionalism; Maintains good rapport and cooperative relationships.

Required Education and Experience
- Bachelors Degree Business, health administration or education
- High School Graduate
Preferred Education and Experience
- Master's Degree Business or health care administration
Knowledge Requirements
- Knowledge of business systems and design
- Knowledge of information systems design and operation
- Possess expertise in health care administration
- Financial, planning and management skills
- Proven ability to work with others and assist in managing and coordinating business and occupational activities
- Proven ability to communicate effectively, both orally and written.
