Physician - Vascular Medicine Specialist
The University of Kansas Health System, Department of Cardiovascular Medicine (CVM), has a faculty position opening for a fellowship trained (non-invasive) vascular medicine physician to join the institution’s expanding vascular services.
The ideal candidate will be board-certified/eligible in Internal Medicine and Vascular Medicine. The selected candidate will have a well-rounded clinical practice encompassing the entire spectrum of vascular medicine including robust outpatient practice and inpatient consults. The CVM Department has a busy full service, IAC certified vascular ultrasound laboratory, and the selected candidate will have an active role in study interpretation. The selected candidate will be an integral part of a multi-disciplinary vascular team and while housed within CVM will work closely with Vascular Surgery, Interventional Radiology in our integrated vascular center. The CVM Department currently has over 70 faculty including 3 board certified vascular medicine specialists (1 noninvasive and 2 interventional).
We also have close collaborations with other specialties such as Rheumatology, Sports Medicine, Genetics as well as Hematology and Cardiothoracic Surgery.
The selected candidate will be expected to contribute to the clinical, educational and research mission of the department. Leadership positions in various vascular programs are available for the appropriate candidate and there are opportunities to develop new programs as well.
Required Qualifications:
- MD or DO
- ABIM Board-certified/eligible in Vascular Medicine
- ABIM Board-certified in Internal Medicine
- Completion of ACGME-accredited Vascular Medicine fellowship
- Eligible for licensure in both Kansas and Missouri
