Physician - Hospitalist
The University of Kansas Health System, Department of Medicine, is seeking a full-time Internal Medicine Hospitalist who will join the team and support the departmental mission of delivering the highest quality of care, as well as satisfying teaching, research, and academic responsibilities.
The position offers a dynamic opportunity to deliver continuous care across inpatient services at both the academic medical center on the Main Campus, as well as in a community setting on the Olathe Campus. Patient care is provided in shift scheduling to include day, swing and limited night shifts, shared equally among members of the group. Nocturnist program in place. The role also includes participation in call duties, aligning with established practices for hospitalist services. There will be limited interaction with house staff in a supervisory and triage role. As an academic medical center and health system, we offer full sub-specialty support with closed ICU at the main campus.
Additionally, there is a strong emphasis on scholarly pursuits, including collaborative education and research activities with students and fellows. For those inclined, independent research initiatives are encouraged.
Required Qualifications:
MD/DO or equivalent
Board certified/board eligible in Internal Medicine
Eligible for licensure in Kansas and Missouri
