Food Service Aide/Dishwasher

Position Summary / Career Interest:

Performs a variety of sanitation and food service duties in accordance with safety, sanitation and service standards.


Responsibilities and Essential Job Functions

• Maintains a safe, sanitary work environment conforming to policies and regulations Operates and maintains food service equipment
• Logs dishmachine temperatures; ensure dishmachine temperatures are in compliance with standards before using dishmachine
• Prepares dishroom and dishmachine prior to use; scrapes and soaks dinnerwares; loads and unloads dishmachine following established procedures
• Prepares pot/pan area and pot/pan washer prior to use; scrapes, soaks, washes, sanitizes and put puts/pan away following established procedures
• Removes trash, boxes and other waste from the department
• Puts stock from deliveries away following proper procedure
• Transports carts throughout the hospital
• Cleans throughout the department including but not limited to surfaces, equipment, carts, walls, and floors
• Performs other duties as assigned
• Must be able to perform the professional, clinical and or technical competencies of the assigned unit or department.

Preferred Education and Experience

• High School Graduate or GED.
• Food service experience.

Required Licensure and Certification

• Clay County Food Handler permit or ServSafe certification within 30 days.

Knowledge Requirements

• Ability to read and write.
