Position Summary / Career Interest:
Transports patients to and from the Cardiology department according to patient-specific needs. Assisting staff in basic care needs. Assists in preparing the patient for procedures including positioning the patient and room and/or equipment preparation.

Transports patients to and from the Cardiology department according to patient-specific needs. Assisting staff in basic care needs. Assists in preparing the patient for procedures including positioning the patient and room and/or equipment preparation.
Responsibilities and Essential Job Functions
- Assist and accompany patients to/from Cardiology department
- Assist patient care staff with basic care needs
- Positions, lifts, and turns patients, as needed, in preparation for care
- Prepares the room and/or equipment for use
- Assists in the use of bedpan, urinal, or commode
- Utilizes, cleans, and maintains supplies including stocking rooms
- Ensures confidentiality of patient information
- Assist hooking up and prepping patients for stress echocardiograms
- Must be able to perform the professional, clinical and or technical competencies of the assigned unit or department.

Preferred Education and Experience
- General Educational Development
- Patient transport experience
- patient care experience
Required Licensure and Certification
- Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS or BCLS) - American Heart Association (AHA) within 90 Days
Preferred Licensure and Certification
- Certified Nurse Aide / Assistant (CNA) - State Department for Aging and Disability Services (KS), Department of Health & Senior Services (MO) - Includes licenses for all other states
