The University of Kansas Watkins Health Services in Lawrence, Kansas, is seeking a Family Medicine physician to join our student health practice and provide comprehensive care to the KU student population.  Watkins Health Services serves the University of Kansas student community by providing comprehensive medical, mental health, and wellness services in a convenient, on-campus setting.

This is an outstanding opportunity to practice outpatient medicine in a collegial, mission-driven university health setting focused on high-quality, accessible care for students. This position offers work-life balance with no inpatient responsibilities or call, allowing you to focus on providing high-quality outpatient care to a diverse and engaging student population. You’ll work in a supportive, team-oriented clinical environment with the opportunity to practice a full spectrum of care, including preventive services, acute care, and chronic disease management in young adults, all within a stable, university-based practice supported by strong institutional resources.

About the Position

  • Practice located on the University of Kansas campus
  • Join a collaborative team of 6 physicians and 6 Advanced Practice Providers (APPs)
  • Outpatient-only practice providing comprehensive student health services
  • Onsite X-ray and lab
  • Onsite pharmacy
  • No call
  • Clinic hours: Monday-Friday with Saturday clinic coverage

Qualifications

  • MD or DO
  • Board-certified or board-eligible in Family Medicine
  • Eligible for medical licensure in Kansas
  • Interest in student health, wellness, and preventive care preferred

About Lawrence:
