The Resource Management Center (RMC) Manager provides leadership and operational oversight for the hospital’s centralized clinical staffing pool, ensuring the effective utilization and deployment of staff to meet patient care and operational needs across the health system. This position leads staffing operations, workforce planning, employee development, and performance management while partnering with nursing and operational leaders to identify staffing trends, address workforce gaps, and optimize resource utilization. The manager uses staffing analytics and technology to support data-driven decision-making, improve staffing efficiency, and ensure the pool maintains a highly skilled, flexible, and engaged workforce aligned with organizational standards and patient care priorities.

Responsibilities and Essential Job Functions
- The RMC Manager supervises and supports frontline staff, monitors productivity, quality, and customer service, and ensures alignment with departmental and organizational standards. This includes conducting employee evaluations, managing performance improvement plans, and leading hiring efforts to ensure the team is staffed with skilled and mission-aligned professionals.
- In addition to operational oversight, the RMC Manager: • Manages and develops Resource Analyst, including coaching, mentoring, and performance evaluations. • Conducts staffing analysis to identify trends, gaps, and opportunities for improvement for all locations. • Leads recruitment and hiring processes for Resource Analyst positions. • Develops and delivers Smart Square education programs to ensure staff proficiency and system optimization. • Collaborates with leaders across the health system to present key staffing insights and predictive modeling to support strategic decision-making.
- Must be able to perform the professional, clinical and or technical competencies of the assigned unit or department.

Required Education and Experience
- High School Graduate or GED
- Bachelors Degree in related field OR
- 4 or more years of experience working with Smart Square OR
- 1 or more years of management experience
Preferred Education and Experience
- 3 or more years of experience in a staffing or scheduling department
Required Licensure and Certification
- Valid, unrestricted driver’s license, Kansas Class C or equivalent. MVR results must be in compliance with Health System Safe Driving Program Policy. Candidate must have access to reliable, personal transportation. Vehicle must carry insurance with at least the minimum automobile liability insurance levels required by the state(s) of operation.
Knowledge Requirements
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- Strong analytical and computer skills
