The Department of Acute Care Surgery at the University of Kansas Medical Center is seeking an additional BC/BE surgeon for full time faculty position with training and interest in General and Acute Care Surgery.  

Qualified candidates will have completed fellowship training in surgical critical care or acute care surgery and must possess an interest in providing elective surgical care to complex patients in support of the group’s rapidly growing elective surgical practice. Current call rotation is 1:8 with an annual volume of approximately 2800 trauma admissions, and nearly 2600 emergency general surgery patient contacts this year.

Candidates should possess excellent clinical skills and a strong interest in supporting the academic missions of the Department through education, research, and/or outreach.
