Position Summary / Career Interest:
The Physician Recruiter is responsible for physician recruitment efforts for various clinical departments of the Health System and Medical Center. The Physician recruiter will work with key stakeholders in the departments they support along with other key stakeholders in the organization to generate recruitment plans and strategies to help with the successful recruitment for each position they are assigned. This position will be responsible for developing and executing on recruitment strategies, sourcing and screening qualified candidates. The Physician recruiter will report to the Director of Physician Recruitment.

The Physician recruiter will report to the Director of Physician Recruitment.
Responsibilities and Essential Job Functions
- Confers with physician leadership, executives, management and supervisors to identify personnel needs, job specifications, job duties, qualifications, required skills and parameters of the job to created create an accurate position profile of the position.
- Assists in the development and implementation of marketing plans to attract provider applicants and to fill specific openings.
- Develops and maintains network of contacts to help identify and source qualified candidates. Initiates contact possible qualified candidates for specific job openings.
- Reviews applications and interviews applicants to obtain work history, education, training, job skills, and salary requirements, and to provide information about the organization and position.
- Screens and refers candidates for additional interviews with others in the organization.
- May write and place advertisements in various media venues and formats.
- Develops and maintains contacts with schools, alumni groups, physician training programs, and other public organizations to find and attract applicants.
- Makes public presentations at various schools, residency and fellowship training programs, and organizations focusing on the hospital and different job opportunities.
- Works with external recruiters and employment agencies to identify and recruit applicants as approved by the Director.
- Utilizes on-line internet recruiting sources to identify and recruit applicants. Provides information on company facilities job opportunities, and community information to potential candidates and applicants.
- Requests background checks, employment references, and education verification on candidates. Coordinates the pre-employment process with candidates.
- Stays current with healthcare industry and physician recruiting trends including but not limited to (visas, government regulations, candidate resources, HR Law, ASPR Benchmarking results
- Must be able to perform the professional, clinical and or technical competencies of the assigned unit or department.

Required Education and Experience
- Bachelors Degree in Business, Healthcare Administration or related field or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
- High School Graduate
Preferred Education and Experience
- 3 or more years of Provider Recruiting experience.
Required Licensure and Certification
- Must be able to obtain Certified Physician/Provider Recruitment Professional (CPRP) designation within 3 years of date into position.
Knowledge Requirements
- Must be able to work flexible business hours when conducting calls with candidates.
