Physician - Adult Psychiatrist
The University of Kansas Health System, Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences in Kansas City, Kansas is seeking a general psychiatrist. This position will provide clinical services in an ambulatory setting and provide supervision to psychiatry trainees.
About the position:
Work directly with the Director of the Division of Ambulatory Services.
Provide direct services to patients within the ambulatory services areas.
Supervise resident physicians in residents' clinics, didactic settings and in individual psychotherapy situations.
Provide a clinical practice that provides an excellent educational experience for psychiatry residents and students; teach residents and students in areas of psychiatrists'' expertise through didactic lectures and in clinical settings.
Available to support department clinical needs in ambulatory and outreach settings.
Establish an area of clinical and/or research expertise and recognition.
Participate in clinical and administrative on-call activities, weekend call, continuous performance improvement and participate in Medical School and Department Committees as needed.
Performing other duties as assigned by the Department Chair.

Required Qualifications:
M.D., D.O. or equivalent and ABPN board certification/board eligibility in General Psychiatry
Must hold a medical license (or be eligible for licensure) in the State of Kansas
