Position Summary / Career Interest:
Responsible for maintaining and developing existing information technology solutions and implementing new solutions for the Dining Services department with the support of Health Information Technology (HITs) and third-party vendors as needed. Oversee all effective operations of the CBORD software applications, to include a focus on Net Menu, Mobile Inventory, Floor Stock orders, Date Code Genie, and any additional applications pursued by the department. Oversee all effective operations of other third-party applications to include Micros, FreedomPay, and the Dining Services call center software. Acts as a primary point of contact for resolving system issues for all users on staff and software vendor. Responsible for primary troubleshooting and appropriately escalates problems to HITs and vendor(s) as needed. Maintains application databases where applicable, performs training, and acts as a subject matter expert when questions surface. Manages sustainability functions for dining services, including but not limited to food waste, recycling efforts, and is responsible for content development of new menus.

Responsibilities and Essential Job Functions
- Implements and maintains third party applications for the department and evaluates opportunities for effective use of the department’s applications.
- Designs and implements data gathering processes and drives data-driven process improvement endeavors. Uses data analytics to interpret and present pertinent findings and their applications to all stakeholders.
- Performs routine updates and upgrades to third party applications with the help of HITs and vendors as appropriate. Responsible for department level testing limited to end user operations on the test server.
- Identifies opportunities to utilize third party applications such as CBORD’s FMS to improve patient satisfaction, workflow efficiencies, cost control, and revenue generation.
- Builds and maintains nutrient analysis database and nutrient analysis documentation.
- May lead Dining Services staff in the performance of work required to provide services independently. Develops and monitors internal controls that promote adherence to applicable regulations and laws.
- Point person and liaison for payroll deduction program. Provides customer service to others using the system which can include charge questions for payroll deduct, MICROS register issues, hospital badge errors, and researching multiple customized reports when necessary.
- Responsible for researching interface issues limited to end user and turning findings over to IT and/or vendor for issue resolution.
- Responsible for coordinating any system downtime with HITs and CBORD for system maintenance, software upgrades, or hospital network downtimes.
- Responsible for working with Training Program Manager to creating training documents as well as training staff in the operation of CBORD systems. Spearheads training efforts with all department staff using software systems. Develops and provides educational materials and visual aids in training efforts for staff.
- Responsible for maintaining system security for all levels of CBORD system users.
- Supports Dining Services leadership in menu planning and data input into CBORD system. Coordinates staff training and development in area of Patient Experience and therapeutic diets.
- Manages sustainability functions for dining services, including but not limited to food waste, recycling efforts.
- Responsible for content development of new menus.
- Responsible for the implementation and upkeep of all software relating to the Micros POS system, VISIX data screens and Date Code Genie Printers.
- May be required to be on call to coordinate “after work hours” problems when necessary.
- Must be able to perform the professional, clinical and or technical competencies of the assigned unit or department.

Required Education and Experience
- Bachelors Degree in Nutrition, Healthcare, IT, or other relevant area (or 4 years of relevant experience)
- 2 or more years of food and nutritional services or healthcare experience
Preferred Education and Experience
- Clinical experience
- CBORD experience
Required Language Skills
- English - Ability to read, write, speak and understand English
Knowledge Requirements
- Proficient with MS Office
