Position Summary / Career Interest:
The Executive Assistant to the Senior Vice President will provide administrative support at a high level, exercising independent judgment and discretion relative to matters of significance to the organization, along with the authority to act with minimal supervision. This role serves as a key communicator to all level of staff on behalf of the SVP.

Responsibilities and Essential Job Functions
- Manages work and project work flow in office
- Demonstrates competence in the areas of critical thinking, interpersonal relationships, customer service and technical skills.
- Composes and prepares correspondence.
- Is proficient in the setup of the audio-visual equipment in the Executive Boardrooms and other Executive Conference Rooms.
- Serves as a key communicator to all level of staff on behalf of the SVP or VP, as required, and coordinates and disseminates communication to large audiences as needed, capability of navigating complex and sensitive communication circumstances
- May serve as a liaison to other departments, agencies and outside vendors as appropriate.
- Completes special projects as assigned by SVP and/or VP.
- High level ability to plan, organize, analyze and coordinate data/information and activities.
- Functions independently at a high level, makes valid judgments to ensure the integrity of operations and exhibits initiative in the completion of tasks
- Manages and maintains highly sensitive information with complete discretion and confidentiality
- Maintains current knowledge related to applicable statues, regulations, guidelines and standards necessary to perform job duties.
- Complies with the requirements of the Code of Conduct, Corporate Compliance Plan and Compliance Policies and Procedures, including training requirements and the Records Retention Plan.
- Participates in compliance activities under the direction of the Department Manager and Corporate Compliance Officer.
- Develops and maintains a collaborative team approach with support staff members and executives built on regular communication, shared decision-making and results oriented problem solving.
- Coordinates and manages the calendar for the SVP and/or VP.
- Must be able to perform the professional, clinical and or technical competencies of the assigned unit or department.

Required Education and Experience
- High School Graduate
- Bachelors Degree in related field of study from an accredited college or university. OR
- 8 or more years of executive assistant or related experience as an equivalent to the degree.
Knowledge Requirements
- High level ability to plan, organize, analyze, and coordinate data/information and activities.
- High level ability to function independently, make valid judgments to ensure the integrity of operations and exhibit initiative in the completion of tasks.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills including a high degree of professionalism and personal presence.
- Considerable knowledge and skill in using the computer and with MS Office.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships within and external to the Health System.
- Outgoing personality with high service orientation.
- Ability to work in a stressful environment and capable of coping with complex situations.
- Ability to handle highly sensitive information with complete discretion and confidentiality.
- Knowledge of Lean principles for Healthcare Event planning experience is preferred.
