Catering Coordinator-Lead
The Catering Coordinator–Lead serves as the primary client contact from inquiry through event completion, ensuring seamless planning and execution of catering events. This role consults with clients, prepares proposals and event orders, coordinates logistics with culinary and service teams, and ensures events meet quality, safety, and service standards. The position also manages order entry, invoicing, and recordkeeping while reinforcing workplace policies and resolving issues in a professional, timely manner.
Responsibilities and Essential Job Functions
Serves as the main point of contact for catering clients from initial inquiry of the event to completion.
Consult with clients to determine event needs, menus, timelines, and service expectations.
Prepare and distribute catering proposals and event orders.
Conduct site visits and pre-event planning as needed.
Coordinate event logistics including setup, service flow, and breakdown.
Communicate detailed event information to culinary, service and support teams.
Ensure all events meet quality, presentation, and service standards.
Troubleshoot and resolve issues during events in a professional and timely manner.
Ensure compliance with food safety, sanitation, and organizational policies.
Support continuous improvement through client feedback and post-event reviews.
Help to enforce workplace policies, safety standards, and service expectations.
Accurately enter and manage catering orders in the catering or POS system.
Process invoices including billing accuracy and post-event documentation (if needed).
Maintain organized records of events, menus and client communications.
Must be able to perform the professional, clinical and or technical competencies of the assigned unit or department.

Required Education and Experience
2 or more years of experience catering events, hospitality or food service operations experience.
Preferred Education and Experience
High School Graduate or GED
Required Language Skills
Fluent English
Knowledge Requirements
Strong organizational and multitasking skills in a fast-paced environment.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and catering/event management systems.
