Position Summary / Career Interest:
The Quality Outcomes Manager is accountable for the overall operations of the quality outcomes coordinators. Is responsible on a continual basis for the quality of abstraction and public reporting of data, customer (external and internal) service, and cost-efficient operation of the department. Supports the Hospital mission and strategic plan, budgeting and resource allocation, organizational policy and overall management plan of the Department of Organizational Improvement.

Responsibilities and Essential Job Functions
- Achieve business and organization goals, visions and objectives.
- Coordinates and maintains quality improvement data and ensures data integrity for all programs reported by the department.
- Administer corrective action to employees not meeting requirements of their jobs.
- Analyzing, reporting, giving recommendations and developing strategies on how to improve quality and satisfaction.
- Identifying problems, providing solutions and courses of actions.
- Interact in a positive, professional manner with evidence of conflict resolution skills.
- Primary involvement in employee selection, career development, succession planning and periodic training.
- Role Model professional practice through collaboration with staff, leadership, patients, families and physicians.
- Serve as a mentor for staff developing into leadership roles.
- Supervise and manage the overall performance and technical competencies of staff in department.
- Participates in multidisciplinary groups as part of organizational improvement efforts.
- Completes special projects in an efficient and effective manner; demonstrating creativity by recognizing and acting upon opportunities.
- Coordinates gathering of information and preparation of materials for departmental projects, meetings, presentations or other assistance as required.
- Models purposeful, direct, and assertive communication with staff, physicians, managers, and department/hospital administration.
- Achieves effective working relationships with all departments to achieve desired department and organizational outcomes.
- Must be able to perform the professional, clinical and or technical competencies of the assigned unit or department.

Required Education and Experience
- High School Graduate
- Bachelor Degree Nursing
Preferred Education and Experience
- Master Degree Nursing
- 2 or more years of management experience
Required Licensure and Certification
- Licensed Registered Nurse (LRN) - Multi-State - State Board of Nursing Registered Nurse in State of Kansas
