Surgical Technologist, Indian Creek/Overland Park - Operating Room, Full or Part-time DAYs

Position Summary / Career Interest:
Join our Surgery department at our hospital located at the Indian Creek Campus in Overland Park . Surgical cases include: Orthopedics, General, Breast, Plastics/Reconstructive, Bariatrics, Urology, Gynecology, ENT, and Gender reassignment. Open positions start at 6:30am. Full-time positions are 4 - 10 hour shift with minimum call rotations. Part-time positions will work 2 or 3 – 10 hour shifts. No weekends, no holidays!! The Surgical Technologist, under the direction of the Registered Nurse and the Nurse Manager, handles the instruments, supplies and equipment necessary during the surgical procedure. He/she has an understanding of the surgical procedure being performed and anticipates the needs of the surgeon. He/she has the necessary knowledge and ability to ensure quality patient care during the surgical procedure and is maintains constant vigilance of the sterile field.

Required Education and Experience
- High School Graduate or equivalent.
- Certificate or Associate’s Surgical Tech degree OR 3 years of experience as a Surgical Technologist in lieu of the certificate or degree requirement.
Required Licensure and Certification
- Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS or BCLS) - American Heart Association (AHA)
