Position Summary / Career Interest:

This position is responsible for providing analytical support to strategic chain initiatives. Will work under the direction of the Supply Chain Analytics Manager and will fill a cross functional role providing analytics and data analysis to all areas of the health system supply chain. This role will also assist with various system process improvement initiatives and ad hoc analytic projects as assigned. This role drives success within the health system by providing an essential analytic foundation.


Responsibilities and Essential Job Functions

• Must be able to perform the professional, clinical and or technical competencies of the assigned unit or department.
• Support initiatives through data analysis and the development of data visualizations
• Assists in the planning and design of data analytic projects
• Contribute to continuous improvement projects by developing tools and standard templates
• Assists with defining data standards and definitions
• Leads discussions with cross functional teams on the results of projects and data analysis
• Produce financial analysis for cost savings initiatives
• Gather data and produce accurate and timely analytics for department leaders
• Serve as a subject matter expert on supply chain analytics tools and methodologies

Required Education and Experience

• Bachelors Degree in Information Management, Computer Science, Supply Chain or a related field of study from an accredited college or university.
• 2 or more years of experience with a variety of data sets to access, extract, transform and manipulate data.
• 2 or more years of experience in data analysis and reporting in a healthcare environment.

Preferred Education and Experience

• 4 or more years of experience analyzing and visualizing data.
• 4 or more years of experience using SSMS, SSRS, Tableau, Power BI or similar tools.
• 4 or more years of experience with databases and SQL or similar query languages.
• 4 or more years of experience with Vizient products.
• 4 or more years of experience with GPOs, tier structures and contract compliance.

Knowledge Requirements

• Superior communication and presentation skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects effectively and efficiently with varying deadlines and levels of importance.
• Strong knowledge using the Microsoft Office Suite with a focus on Excel.
