Position Summary / Career Interest:
This position will include responsibility to use appropriate architecture computer tools and programming languages in the development of streamlined pathways, data collection, document flow and reports required to support the day-to-day operations of the hospital. This position will also include participating in the evaluation, planning, design, development, testing, implementation, maintenance and support of both departmental and hospital driven projects and initiatives.

Responsibilities and Essential Job Functions
- Participates in the evaluation, planning, design, development, testing, implementation, maintenance and support of system upgrades, optimizations and new system implementations. This includes, but is not limited to, system design, documentation of design decisions, workflow design and redesign and documentation, data collection, database building, system QA testing, implementation and troubleshooting.
- Demonstrates accountability on several different levels. Delivers a project or work product that meets the expectations of the request, insures customer acceptance, and stays within project timelines.
- Ensures that proper education and documentation is completed for assigned projects and that there is a plan for distributing that education. Develops and maintains supporting documentation for project design, development, coordination and implementation. This includes but is not limited to minutes, diagrams, and specifications.
- Actively participates and shares ideas in team, project and status meetings.
- Demonstrates competence in the areas of critical thinking, interpersonal relationships, technical skills, assisting other analysts, providing training and responding to off-duty calls.
- Learns, develops, and maintains an expert level of knowledge in the assigned application or technical areas and their impacts towards the clinical departments and resources. Becomes certified and maintains certification as needed in designated application or technical areas.
- If applicable, participation in the quality management program is expected with the goal of improving services by monitoring processes, analyzing data, implementing interventions to improve and evaluating the effectiveness of those interventions. Responsibilities may include working to establish and maintain long and short term goals for the Quality Management Program; monitoring and documenting Quality Improvement Projects (QIPs) for progress in meeting QI goals; and providing guidance and education to staff on Quality Management priorities and projects. If applicable, as part of the program, the staff will uphold the quality of the Patient Management Program to include the development and reassessment of the program.
- Must be able to perform the professional, clinical and or technical competencies of the assigned unit or department.

Required Education and Experience
- High School Graduate
Preferred Education and Experience
- Bachelors Degree or 3 years of related experience in applied area
- 1 or more years of working with Epic or other comparable health care informatics computer system.
Required Licensure and Certification
- Appropriate Epic application certification or will need to obtain this within 5 months from date of hire.
Preferred Licensure and Certification
Knowledge Requirements
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Excellent computer skills.
- Windows and word processing experience.
- Familiarity with personal computers, their hardware requirements, and various applications.
