Physician - Orthopedic Surgeon (Hip and Joint)
The University of Kansas Health System, the official healthcare provider for the Kansas City Chiefs and the Kansas City Royals, is seeking an Orthopedic Adult Reconstruction Surgeon, who has completed an ACGME accredited Orthopedic residency program, Adult Reconstruction fellowship training, and is either ACGME board certified or board eligible. The department has been recognized in the top 50 Orthopedic programs in the United States by U.S. News & World Report for 2023-2024.
The ideal candidate is interested in the further development of a robust primary joint program and has areas of interest around advanced robotic technologies, outpatient surgery expansion, and interest in both knee and hip arthroplasty.
This position at University of Kansas Health System will support the mission of delivering the highest quality of care, as well as satisfying teaching, research, and academic responsibilities. We offer a competitive compensation and benefits package, as well as relocation assistance.
Position Highlights:
- Full-time, academically driven, clinical practice in the Orthopedic Surgery sub-specialty area of Adult Reconstruction.
- Dedicated block time.
- Biomet Zimmer robot with the opportunity to inform future capital purchasing
- Dedicated Nurse
- Access to a multitude of other shared clinical and administrative resources.
- Research and academic resources available, both research coordination and basic science laboratories
- Participation in the advancement, mentoring, and education of medical students, general surgery interns, orthopedic surgery residents, and Sports Medicine fellows, if indicated
- Participation in clinical, operational, and academic decision-making committees and activities
