The University of Kansas Health System, Division of Gastroenterology and Hepatology, is seeking a gastroenterologist faculty member to join its expanding team to support the departmental mission of delivering the highest quality of care, as well as satisfying teaching, research, and academic responsibilities at the region's quaternary referral center.

The candidate should be fellowship-trained, board certified or equivalent, and eligible for licensure in Kansas and Missouri. We offer a competitive compensation and benefits package, as well as opportunities for professional growth and development. We will consider new graduate GIs.

About the position:

  • Full spectrum of general gastroenterology, including upper and lower endoscopy procedures; combined clinic and hospital-based practice, and hospital call rotation to cover inpatient and ED consults. Training and experience with gastrointestinal bleeding; esophageal disorders; inflammatory bowel disease; and gastrointestinal cancers. Preferred skills, but not required: ERCP and EUS

  • Serve as a clinical educator to GI fellows, residents, and medical students

  • Gastroenterology team comprised of 18 GI faculty, 7 Transplant Hepatologists (10 total Hepatology Faculty), 3 IBD Faculty and 21 APPs

  • Average daily census is 25

  • Endoscopy suites (main campus -6 and ASC/other outpatient center -4; with expansion, we will have additional rooms)

  • Participate in educational conferences
