Come join our Periop team! This is for a full time Perioperative Clinical Engineering (Biomed) Tech at our Bell hospital in Kansas City, Kansas. This opening is for our late shift team and has a flexible start time options ranging between 10am - 1pm. The Perioperative Clinical Engineering (Biomed)Tech II position is responsible for the maintenance of life support and non-life support equipment within the Perioperative division. His/her focus will also be on the intra-operative user, equipment problems, completion of scheduled maintenance, and preventative maintenance/repairs of Perioperative equipment. He/she will also be responsible for projects assigned by his Supervisor(s) or Manager. For patient safety, all general repairs and maintenance must be reviewed by his/her supervisor or manager until certification occurs.

Responsibilities and Essential Job Functions
- Test and calibrate medical devices (preventative maintenance)
- Troubleshoot medical devices in a clinical or operative setting
- Ensures compliance with regulatory processes
- Manage medical software/hardware systems
- Educate the proper use, care, and maintenance of medical devices
- Review technical manuals
- Document any and all maintenance and repairs and maintain records of maintenance activities
- Must be able to perform the professional, clinical and or technical competencies of the assigned unit or department.

Required Education and Experience
- High School Graduate
- Completion of a Certificate Program for a Biomedical Equipment Technician through State Technical College of Missouri, The College of Biomedical Equipment Technology, or similar accredited program with manager approval OR
- Associates Degree Associates and/or professional training in Electronics/Biomedical field OR
- Bachelors Degree Bachelors Degree and/or professional training in Electronics/Biomedical field OR
- Completion of a U.S. military biomedical equipment technology program OR
Preferred Education and Experience
- Experience/training/certification with Anesthesia machines a plus
Required Licensure and Certification
- Certified Biomedical Equipment Technician (CBET) - Association for the Advancement of Medical Instrumentation (AAMI) Association for the Advancement of Medical Instrumentation (AAMI) AAMI Credentials Institute (ACI) Certification for Biomedical Equipment Technician (CBET) Eligible
