Position Summary / Career Interest:
The Patient Equipment Services Manager has responsibility for managing the Patient Equipment department and ensure that end user equipment for the Main hospital and Cambridge Tower A areas is cleaned, stored, and delivered according to health system policies and regulatory standards and in a safe and efficient manner.

Responsibilities and Essential Job Functions
- Facilitates effective communication in the Patient Equipment department articulating the status of team vision/goals as well as how the department fits into the division’s strategic plan and business operations service model.
- Responsible for a business operations specific performance management system for Patient Equipment Department efficiency, quality, customer satisfaction and productivity – manages the quality system by facilitating teamwork with staff and other department resources
- Identifies customer reported issues with products and determines action plans, educational/coaching, and process improvement opportunities to achieve and maintain high customer satisfaction.
- Incorporates training and evaluation of orientation, competency, daily performance, and formal coaching.
- Collaborates with the members of the Perioperative Services Department to provide optimal outcomes as related to equipment needs.
- Sets expectations and ensures compliance with department, division, hospital and state/federal standards and regulations.
- Utilizes resources efficiently to standardize product inventory/par levels while maintaining an economically viable and safe environment.
- Collaborates with industry and hospital departments to introduce new policies and procedures related to the cleaning and processing of patient equipment.
- Provides data/reports to leadership facilitating quality care, resource utilization and needed support.
- Models organizational skills to support the identified division goals and outcomes.
- Must be able to perform the professional, clinical and or technical competencies of the assigned unit or department.

Required Education and Experience
- 5 or more years of experience in environmental services or a related field.
- 3 or more years of leadership experience leading medium size groups.
Preferred Education and Experience
- Bachelors Degree in a related field of study from an accredited college or university.
- Master's Degree in Environmental Science or a related field of study from an accredited college or university.
- 6 or more years of experience in working with instrument tracking software and knowledge of instrument tracking system.
- 4 or more years of experience with surgical or sterile processing technicians.
Knowledge Requirements
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Ability to use Sonar and MediMizer.
