Credentialing Coordinator
Coordinates the credentialing and onboarding of physicians and allied health providers for professional staff membership and health system privileges. Provides administrative support for medical staff functions including credentialing applications and files, bylaws policies and committee support. Serves as a resource for regulatory requirements for CMS, The Joint Commission and NCQA for delegated credentialing standards.
Responsibilities:
- Coordinates gathering and verification of primary source documentation for new applicants and reappointments.
- Works collaboratively with other credentialing staff to respond to database report requests.
- Works within crucial deadlines and with time sensitive information.
- Perform monthly monitoring activities in accordance with regulatory guidelines.
- Assists Director and Manager in implementing processes to adhere to regulatory requirements relating to credentialing and privileging.
- Works in collaboration with provider enrollment and the Medical Staff Office to ensure receipt and confirmation of required documentation.
- Assists with various organizational activities, including preparation of audits and reports as directed.
- Attends meetings and takes minutes as assigned.
- Maintains credentials files, filing information as received.
- Supports office mission for service by receiving and screening calls for colleagues in their absence.
- Facilitates and sustains mutually beneficial partnerships with people at all levels both internally and externally.

- Engages in continuing education.

Job Requirements
Required:
- High School Diploma
Preferred:
- Associates' degree in Business
- CPCS
- CPMSM
