Position Summary / Career Interest:
The Career Navigator is responsible for the ongoing management and continued development of an organized program for internal candidates looking at career growth within the health system. This position will offer career center services, including but not limited to skills and interest assessments, professional development guidance, internal shadow coordination, and resume development, to achieve talent retention and professional excellence. This role will offer a positive onsite and virtual career center experience. The Career Navigator will also provide support to the Leadership & Org Dev Manager for educational partnership and pipeline development events.

Responsibilities and Essential Job Functions
- Activities include but are not limited to assisting internal applicants with career site navigation; job/role identification; application process; resume development and interview skills; skills and interests assessments; internal shadowing coordination; etc.
- Responsible for assessment of educational, skills and professional development resource needs and the subsequent establishment of directional goals for the career center services.
- Continually tracks and manages the progress of career center clients.
- Evaluates the needs of the career center based on feedback from career center clients.
- Partners with Talent Acquisition to provide timely feedback to internal applicants who utilize the career center.
- Builds collaborative relationships with departments across the organization.
- Partners with departments across the organization to provide internal shadowing opportunities.
- Collaborates with community partners and potential applicants through various pipeline efforts.
- Provides metrics to leadership regarding usage of the career center.
- Recommends direction and program focus through effective written and verbal communication.
- Answers phone calls, chats, and walk in visitors in a friendly, professional manner.
- Regularly operates standard office equipment.
- Must be able to perform the professional, clinical and or technical competencies of the assigned unit or department.

Required Education and Experience
- High School Graduate with 4 years of experience in training, mentoring/coaching and/or staff development programs OR
- Associates Degree in Education, Human Resources, Training and Development, or related field of study from an accredited college or university AND 2 years of experience in training, mentoring/coaching and/or staff development programs
Preferred Education and Experience
- Bachelors Degree in Education, Human Resources, Training and Development, or related field of study from an accredited college or university
- 1 or more years Professional or volunteer experience supporting or managing community-based programs, nonprofit organizations, or public service initiatives.
Knowledge Requirements
- Proficient in utilizing technology and Microsoft Office products.
- Able to receive directions and follow through to completion.
- Able to problem solve as well as apply critical and interpersonal skills.
- Comfortable multi-tasking and prioritizing the client.
- Ability to attend meetings in other campus locations, deliver presentations, facilitate trainings and support users in multiple locations.
