Assistant Chief Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist(CRNA) MainCampus

The University of Kansas Health System, Department of Anesthesiology, is seeking an Assistant Chief Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist for busy academic medical center.Enjoy a friendly and collaborative culture,teamwork, and a positive work environment.  

Offering a $20,000 signing bonus to experienced, external candidates. Shadowing opportunities are available.

Successful completion of nursing anesthesia program, certification, and eligibility for licensure in the State of Kansas are required.

  • CRNAs perform a full range of procedures

  • Flexible scheduling available

  • 8, 10, 12-hour shifts

  • Ability to move between OR settings, including ASCs

  • Established night-team provides majority of call coverage

  • Additional compensation for call; averaging ~10-12/year, with pre and post call day off

JOB REQUIREMENTS

Required

  • 4 + year experience as CRNA

  • Current license in good standing to practice as a CRNA in the state of Kansas

  • Maintain appropriate continuing education credits for CRNA recertification as defined by the AANA and the council on recertification of nurse anesthetists

  • Master's degree (minimal standard)

  • Current BLS and ACLS certification

  • Demonstrated ability to satisfy standards of performance delineated by law and associated professional practice standards

  • Willing to have difficult conversations as needed and escalate issues to Chief as needed
