Position Title
Physician - Hospitalist Medical Director
The University of Kansas Health System is looking for a Family Medicine Hospitalist with strong leadership skills to implement a new model for hospital admissions.
About the Position:
- Full time physician with Medical Director responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care
- Oversee administrative and clinical activities
- Active member of the Medical Staff
- Attend necessary meetings and take charge on clinical and admin issues
- Collaborate with lead PA
- Conduct chart reviews for PAs and NPs

Requirements:
- BC/BE in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine
- Licensed or eligible for licensure in the state of Kansas
About the University of Kansas Great Bend Campus:
The University of Kansas Health System Great Bend Campus includes a 33-bed, not-for-profit hospital providing short-term acute care services along with orthopedic, obstetric and surgical care units, radiology and an emergency department including Level IV trauma services. The medical pavilion, also located on the Great Bend Campus, provides specialty ambulatory care including obstetrics/gynecology, family medicine, general surgery and specialty clinics.
In the Great Bend community, The University of Kansas Health System also has St. Rose Medical Pavilion and a family medicine practice. St. Rose Medical Pavilion, located on Broadway Avenue, provides specialty outpatient care including cardiac rehab, family medicine, internal medicine and various specialty care clinics during the month. It also provides a Convenient Care Walk-In Clinic for nonemergency situations. The family medicine practice, located on Polk Street, is a well-established primary care practice providing all family medicine services.
