Position Summary / Career Interest:

The Supply Chain Business Operations Project Manager is responsible for the planning, execution, and delivery of projects within agreed upon budget, scope, and timeline. The position will manage improvement projects and new implementations across the health system. Performs day to day management of all phases of the project including initiation, detailed design and development, build, testing, training, and deployment.


Responsibilities and Essential Job Functions
  • Must be able to perform the professional, clinical and or technical competencies of the assigned unit or department.
  • Must be able to partner effectively in projects assigned, communicate process design outcomes and barriers to success.
  • Responsible for current project management methodologies.
  • Coordinates necessary resources to achieve optimal outcomes.
  • Responsible for coordination/performing quality improvement projects related to area daily operations.
  • Partners with clinical, financial, and operational departments to facilitate process improvement initiatives.
  • Responsible for applying Lean principles.
  • Resolves problems associated with vendor relationships.
  • Effective communications to key stakeholders including but not limited to medical staff, clinicians, executive leaders and supplier executives.   Coordinate supply chain management on-boarding projects with growth and expansion initiatives.
  • Develop communication, education, structure, development, and reporting opportunities to sustain and build program Responsible for Health System Level programs including software solutions, sustainability, and system integration efforts with new growth Incorporate opportunities for product and supply chain management that cross multiple disciplines that have global impact on revenue or academic medical center performance.

Required Education and Experience
  • Bachelors Degree in Business Administration or a related field of study from an accredited college or university.
  • 5 or more years of experience in supply chain, project management or a related field.
  • 2 or more years of Project Management experience.

Preferred Education and Experience
  • Master's Degree in related field of study from an accredited college or university.

Preferred Licensure and Certification
  • Certified Materials and Resource Professional (CMRP) - American Hospital Association Certification Center (AHA-CC)
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) - Project Management Institute (PMI)
