Physician - Headache Neurologist
The University of Kansas Health System, Department of Neurology, is seeking a full-time Headache Neurologist to join its dynamic team and support the departmental mission of delivering the highest quality of care. We are looking for clinicians who are passionate about academic excellence, clinical research, and specialized patient care. Appointment at the University of Kansas School of Medicine will be commensurate with experience, training, and achievements.
In this role, the successful candidate will provide comprehensive care for neurology patients with a dedicated focus on headache diagnosis and management. This position offers an excellent opportunity to combine clinical practice and education within a collaborative, innovative environment. Job Duties:
- Provide expert care for neurology patients with a focus on headache diagnosis and management in general and specialty clinics.
- Perform inpatient consultations and supervise continuity clinics.
- Participate in on-call coverage as part of the neurology team.
- Educate and mentor medical students, residents, and fellows in both formal and informal group education settings.
- Engage in scholarly activity and clinical research, including opportunities to participate in clinical trials.
Required Qualifications:
- MD/DO or equivalent
- Successful completion of an ACGME-accredited Neurology Residency program
- Board-Eligible or Board-Certified in Neurology
- Eligible for licensure in both Kansas and Missouri
Preferred Qualifications:
- Completion of fellowship training in Headache Medicine
