The University of Kansas Health System, Department of Cardiovascular Medicine, Division of Cardiac Electrophysiology, is seeking a clinically oriented and energetic Cardiac Electrophysiologist to join the team.

The Cardiac Electrophysiology (EP) Program at The University of Kansas Health System is one of the most comprehensive and busiest EP programs in the country performing all complex interventional electrophysiology procedures. The prospective faculty will join 11 electrophysiologists and is expected to play an integral role supporting the clinical expansion, including outreach in the Kansas City metro, as well as research and teaching activities. Academic appointment available, commensurate with experience and qualifications.

The Department of Cardiovascular Medicine is consistently ranked in the U.S. News & World Report Top 50 hospitals for Cardiology and Heart Surgery.

About the EP Program

  • Performs over 3,500 cardiac EP procedures with 50-50 mix of device and ablation procedures per year, which includes roughly 800 AF ablations, 550 Watchman implants, 100 lead extractions, 175 PVC/VT ablations.

  • Offers comprehensive advanced cardiac care including a high-volume advanced heart failure and transplant program.

  • Actively engaged in multiple ongoing clinical trials, including both industry-sponsored and investigator-initiated studies.

  • Active ACGME-accredited Clinical Cardiac Electrophysiology Fellowship Program.

  • Supports a one-year non-accredited Arrhythmia Fellowship with core focus on cardiac EP research.

Required Qualifications

  • MD, DO or equivalent

  • Board certified / eligible in Clinical Cardiac Electrophysiology

  • Eligible for licensure in Kansas and Missouri
