Supply Liaison Job

We currently have an opening for Supply Liaison.


Creates, organizes and reviews processes for acquiring, storing, handling, inventorying and replenishment of patient care products, with emphasis on physician preference items, in the perioperative and procedural areas and medical/surgical items in the inpatient settings

Communicates with clinicians to ensure product is available at the right place, the right time, and in the right quantity

Assists or completes Lawson order entry as needed

Leads the team or participates in processing recalls

May facilitate communication with customers on product sourcing for substitutions and backorders

Reviews the delivery and follow-up on any overnight orders

Support, assist or complete returns to vendors with the expectation of brokering a sound business transaction.

Partners with other Unit Coordinators, Senior Supply Chain Liaisons and/or the Value Analysis team to facilitate product evaluations/trials

Responsible for the process design for all physical counts and forecasting supplies appropriately for procedures or inpatient needs

Leads or participates in necessary data coordination and reporting in a timely manner to all interested parties

Reviews all outstanding Purchase Orders within 7-10 days of order origination, facilitating appropriate communication to all stakeholders

Responsible for daily supply operations by facilitating daily product needs and concerns in perioperative and procedural departments and/or inpatient units

Support Unit Coordinators and/or Senior Supply Chain Liaison product problem solving and solution orientated ideas to ensure efficient product availability

Utilizes critical thinking and LEAN methodology to ensure the right products are available at the right place, the right time, the right quantity and at the right price for perioperative and procedural areas and/or inpatient units

Participates in cross-training amongst perioperative and procedural services or distribution services to ensure each department has the appropriate product(s) to deliver high quality patient care

Performs other duties as assigned by the Inpatient Clinical Support Manager or Perioperative and Procedural Services Supply Chain Manager and/or other members of the leadership team


High School Diploma or GED required

Associate's degree or Bachelor's Degree in Business preferred

One to two years of experience in the Healthcare industry or inventory control required

Certified Materials and Resource Professional (CMRP) certification preferred

Course for medical terminology preferred

Microsoft Office Processing and Windows skills required
