Sterile Processing Lead Job

We currently have an opening for Sterile Processing lead

Responsibilities:

Actively involved in orientation and continuing education of assigned staff

Assists in organization and cleanliness of department; maintains a professional image for the unit

Coordinates daily staffing, breaks, and lunches in line with the needs of the Operating Room and other departments under the direction of the supervisor and manager

Demonstrates the ability to effectively prioritize customers' needs while partnering with the Operating Room leadership and SPD liaisons

Fosters an environment of cooperation, teamwork, customer service and employee engagement

Provides front-line leadership for technicians in the sterile processing departments

Responsible for maintaining and improving satisfaction of all internal and external customers

Utilizes support equipment and computerized systems effectively to maximize department productivity and through-put

Works with Sterile Processing Manager and Supervisor for appropriate data collection and monitors continuous quality indicators; promotes continuous quality improvement through participating in change initiatives

Requirements:

High School diploma or equivalent required

Certification as CRCST-IAHCSMM

Certified CS/SPD or Surgical Technician preferred

Certified Registered Central Service Technician

Experience as OR Scrub Technician and/or Sterile Processing Technician in supervisor role preferred

Minimum of 2 years of experience in Sterile Processing required
