Practice Manager - Cardiothorasic Surgery Job

We currently have an opening for Practice Manager Cardiothoracic Surgery

Responsibilities:

Achieve business and organizational goals, visions and objectives

Align goals, vision and objectives with those of the CV Service Line

Performs scheduled and PRN performance reviews of office and professional staff members, gathering input from peers, colleagues and others as appropriate. Formulates meaningful goals with each individual, which align with those of the clinic/practice and the organization.

Administer corrective actions to employees not meeting requirements of their jobs.

Analyze, report, and give recommendations for developing strategies on how to improve quality and satisfaction. Coordinates quality data and reporting with Organizational Improvement, Business and Strategic Development, regulatory and registry resources and the CV Service Line.

Coordinate schedules of Administrative Assistants, Clinical Nurse Coordinators, and Advanced Practice Nurse Practitioners.

Create a clinic budget and manages to this by monitoring staffing, supplies, travel, equipment, volume, revenue, charges, education and food.

Identify problems, providing solutions and courses of actions.

Interact in a positive, professional manner with evidence of conflict resolution skills.

Maintain a presence in the clinic.

Maintain relationships with Department of Nursing; Cardiovascular Service Line; and Ambulatory Services.

Serve as the primary contact with Human Resources and other supporting hospital departments.

Organize and chair clinic meetings within and across disciplines in the practice.

Facilitate scheduling to support outreach and marketing.

Collaborate and participate with Marketing & Communication in outreach programming and referring physician relationships.

Participate in the planning and oversight of clinical and research conferences.

Participates in physician recruitment, credentialing, and orientation.

Primary involvement in employee (office and professional personnel) selection, career development, succession planning and periodic teaching/training.ls a Role Model for professional practice and leadership through collaboration with staff, patients , families and physicians.

Serve as a mentor for staff developing into leadership roles.

Supervise and manage the overall performance and technical competencies of staff in the clinic/practice.

Requirements:

High School Diploma or equivalent

Bachelor's of Science in Nursing or health related field required; Master's in Nursing or related field preferred

BLS Certification required

Professional Nursing Certification preferred

Registered Nurse in State of Kansas preferred

Minimum of 2 years of management experience required

Ability to understand, speak, read and write English
