The Lead Tech position is responsible for daily coordination of the Neurodiagnostics IntraOperative Monitoring division. This person is responsible for mentorship, education, as well as the responsibilities of an IOM technologist.

Our Neurodiagnostics Team is responsible for providing services to numerous units within the hospital. There is a need and demand for Neurodiagnostic professionals in our community and we are excited to be on the leading edge! With the opening of our Cambridge Tower in 2017, our services and technology will expand even further. Responsibilities:

Performs procedures, recording, analyzing and diagnosing various physiological monitoring functions, with the variety of devices, equipment or techniques used in the department of Neurodiagnostics.

Coordinates daily activities of the team including the facilitation of staffing, scheduling, and education.

Facilitates processes to maintain successful inventory levels and cost-effective practice of supply management by team members; including supportive strategies for cost-containment

Coordinates staff orientation, education, and competency sign offs; identifies educational needs of team members and facilitates obtaining resources/opportunities; ensures policies and procedures are being followed, and performs yearly validation of competencies.

Models the appropriate inter-relationships among clinical disciplines in achievement of desired patient care outcomes

Initiates collaboration with other disciplines regarding procedures, supplies/equipment, and other patient care activities to maximize patient-centered, efficient care.

Requirements:

High School Diploma or equivalent required

Associate's or Bachelor's Degree preferred

Minimum of 2 years in Neurodiagnostics required

Informal/Formal Mentorship preferred

R.EEGT and/or CNIM required

CLTM preferred

REPT preferred
