We currently have an opening for HIM Manager
Achieve business and organization goals, visions and objectives.
Must be able to perform the professional, clinical and/or technical competencies of the department.
Models professional practice through collaboration with staff, leadership, and physicians.
Achieves effective working relationships with all departments to achieve desired department and organizational outcomes.
Coordinates and maintains quality improvement data and ensures data integrity for all programs reported by the department.
Analyzes reports, recommends and develops strategies on how to improve quality, production and satisfaction.
Identifies problems, provides solutions and courses of action.
Interacts in a positive, professional manner with evidence of conflict resolution skills.
Primarily involved in employee selection, career development, succession planning and periodic training. Serves as a mentor for staff developing into more technical or leadership roles.
Manages and trains new employees and existing employees on all aspects of the job ensuring efficient daily operation workflows.
Administers corrective action to direct reports not meeting requirements of their jobs.
Monitors equipment used by the team for needed additions, maintenance, relocation and replacement.
Monitor inpatient and outpatient missed billing reports for accuracy. Ensure regular work is being carried out by staff and account for volumes that may negatively impact areas.
Monitor weekly productivity and monthly quality scores being measured by supervisors to ensure reporting and necessary follow-up is taking place. Assurance of procedure/policy adherence.
Meet with one-up and department administration to review revenue cycle packet and trends, status reports, etc.
Understands and manages to the dependent workflows of other teams that are impacted by timeliness and quality of own team's work.
Completes special projects in an efficient and effective manner; demonstrating creativity by recognizing and acting upon opportunities.
Bachelor's Degree in Health Information Management OR equivalent of 5 years' experience in supervision of healthcare required
Master's Degree in Health Information, Health Administration, Finance or other related field preferred
RHIT, RHIA credential or CPC, CCS-P certification required
Two years' experience in some facet of HIM operations and system support required
Two years' prior experience in HIM supervisory or management role preferred
