We currently have an opening for an Accounting Clerk.
The Accounting Clerk assists the financial section in the preparation of monthly and annual financial statements by entering financial input data and maintaining journal entry archive files. The Accounting Clerk organizes and consolidates information for invoicing outside entities for goods and services provided. The position is responsible for copies and distributes client invoices and posts daily receipts. The Clerk monitors the balancing of daily Patient Financial Activity to appropriate General Ledger accounts. As needed, the position is responsible for processes and distributes incoming department mail. The Accounting Clerk maintains, coordinates, and monitors off-site storage and retrieval of archival documentation. The position also includes: Inputting information regarding unclaimed checks to the proper authorities, assisting with annual federal reporting requirements of vendor information, and assisting with creating and maintaining electronic image copies of pertinent documents including Accounts Payable vendor invoices, outside entity billing invoices and any other documents as needed.
High School Diploma or GED; Associate's degree in Accounting preferred
Three years clerical or office support work
Previous experience in accounting preferred
Proficient in Excel, typing and 10-key
