EKG Coordinator Job

We currently have an opening for EKG Coordinator

Responsibilities:

Ensure that facility structure in iECG and Epic are developed and matched correctly

Orient new units to EKG carts and expectations

Oversee orientation and ongoing competency for EKG tech staff

Follow-up on unreconciled EKGs

Correct/unreconciled/reconcile orders to EKGs that need to be corrected due to poor quality EKG

Follow-up with departments that are not following standardized/approved processes

Partner with units that require additional training to ensure compliance

Follow-up with physicians who have EKGs in iECG that have not been signed off

Ensure modifiers are correct in special circumstances

Point contact for orders corrections process in iECG

Assign EKGs to authorizing physician's InBox

Correct EKGs when patient contact moves are performed by HIM

Works with System Administrator and vendor technical support to resolve technical issues

Works with HIM patient identify team to verify/resolve any unidentified or mis-identified patients in O2 and/or iECG

Ensures EKG carts are transmitting correctly and are stocked with necessary supplies

Participates in improving organizational/departmental performance through recommending areas or approaches for improvement, collecting data, and providing input to department discussions.

Requirements:

High School diploma or GED required

Strong organizational skills required

Excellent communication and computer skills required

Must possess a current basic life support (BLS) certification required

1 year of clerical or office support experience in a healthcare environment or 1 year of experience as CAN, MA or EKG tech
