Brief Overview of Responsibilities

Provide strategic leadership and hands-on development and implementation for total rewards initiatives for the University of Kansas Hospital. A proactive and innovative approach will be critical in ensuring that our rewards are competitive, and are understood and valued by our people managers and employees.

  • Design and manage base pay, bonus, and equity programs for executives and broad-based employees
  • Lead the comprehensive strategy for total rewards, further developing compelling and innovative compensation and benefits programs aimed at attracting and retaining a highly talented workforce in a competitive environment
  • Continuously evaluate rewards programs to ensure they are aligned with business and talent strategies
  • Perform market analysis to design the salary grade structure, recommend base increase budgets and base pay increase guidelines
  • Responsible for the administration, financial management and compliance related activities of the Hospital's mandatory and voluntary retirement savings plans and the state of Kansas KPERS program for employed participants
  • Capacity to transform, align and inspire others to pursue a new direction

Job Type: Full-time/Exempt

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree required

MBA or advanced degree preferred

10+ years of experience in broad-based compensation, executive, and incentive plan strategy, design, and administration

PHR, SPHR, or SHRM-CP/SHRM-SCP preferred

Certified Compensation Professional (CCP) strongly preferred

Certified Workers' Compensation Professional (CWCP) preferred

Prior experience working in Health Care is strongly preferred
