Clinical Genetics Assistant Job

We currently have an opening for Clinical Genetics Assistant


Contact referring physicians, obtain patient records, and collect insurance information from the patient.

Prepare for patient visit by collecting and summarizing medical and family history information.

Research topics related to genetics' diseases and testing.

Contact laboratories to arrange genetic testing for patients.

Summarize clinical reports, complete test requisition forms and prior authorization requests, and track test results for follow-up appointments.

Assist with organization of patient charts for clinic and maintain patient logs.

Help complete patient notes for electronic medical record.

Send letters to referring physicians.

Must be able to perform the professional, clinical and or technical competencies of the assigned unit or department.


High School Diploma or equivalent required

BA/BS in Genetics, Biology or Related Field required

Master's Degree preferred

Previous experience in a Genetics Clinic or other related medical clinic preferred

Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment, ability to communicate openly and clearly required

Ability to document in an electronic medical record system required
