Neurodiagnostic Technician Job

We currently have an opening for Neurodiagnostic Tech III.

Call Requirements: once every 4 weeks

IOM Cases: 75% Spine, 20% Neuro, 5% Other (Plastics, ENT, Vascular).

EEG Cases: 30% Routine Tests, 65% Long Term Video EEGs, 5% Evoked Potentials and EMGs


Collaborates with other disciplines regarding procedures, supplies/equipment, and other patient care activities

Demonstrates abilities and competencies in performing procedures, recording, analyzing and diagnosing various physiological monitoring functions, with the following devices, equipment or techniques:

o modalities may include; EEG, EP, IONM, LTM, NCS, and EMG;

o Autologous Blood Recovery System, invasive monitoring devices, calibrating and troubleshooting, arterial lines, PA catheters, cardiac outputs;

o Other equipment relevant to position

Facilitates processes to maintain successful inventory levels and cost-effective practice of supply management by team members; including supportive strategies for cost containment.

Follow Infection Control guidelines for maintaining, clean and use of non-disposable equipment and maintain timely changes of indwelling catheters and lines.

Performs procedures, recording, analyzing and diagnosing various physiological monitoring functions, with the variety of devices, equipment or techniques.

Provides instruction and assistance to fellow staff/co-workers


High School Diploma or equivalent required

Associate's Degree required; Bachelor's Degree preferred

BLS Certification required

Certification in Neurophysiologic Intraoperative Monitoring (CNIM) required

Minimum of two years' professional experience in Biotechnology or Neurophysiology required

Registrations relevant to the job performed (Nerve Conduction Studies, Electroencephalography, evoked potentials, autonomic testing or sleep) preferred

Ability to read, write and speak English

Must be able to do basic algebraic equations and measurements required

Windows and Microsoft Office skills required
