Biomedical Equipment Supervisor Job

We currently have an opening for Biomedical Supervisor

Responsibilities:

Performs preventive maintenance and repairs on different types of equipment: (electrosurgical units, recorders, EKG machines, centrifuges)

Performs inspection of equipment periodically to decrease breakdown occurrences: (confirm and adjust calibration of input/output accuracy, troubleshoots malfunctions)

Performs modifying and replaces units or parts such as: electronic modules, resistors, Capacitors, integrated circuits, fuses, switches, transistors, motors, mechanical devices, and wiring)

Assists in installation of equipment by attaching, soldering, and splicing wires and connectors.

Performs functions with safety analyzers generators, volt-ohm meters, oscilloscopes and physiological simulators for testing equipment and wiring.

Demonstrates works from schematics, wiring diagrams, university policies, departmental procedures, service manuals, and manufacturer specifications.

Performs supervisory duties for shop personnel (planning, overseeing, reporting, completing, and documenting safety tasks)

Provide implementing, monitoring, and managing the Hospital Electrical Safety Program.

Performs surveying the hospital patient related equipment for safety hazards, to Perform tests and inspections, document results and provides recommendations for resolving each concern identified.

Performs drafts inspection reports detailing results, hazards and recommendations.

Schedules equipment inspection visits.

Requirements:

High School Diploma or equivalent required

Associate's Degree in Electronics/Biomedical preferred

Professional training in Biomedical Engineering preferred
